Ngatia, a soil biogeochemist at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Fla., uses nuclear magnetic resonance magnets to study different kinds of carbon found in soils. We recorded two takes of those interviews: one for scientists (with MagLab physical chemist Faith Scott) and one for the masses (with educational program specialist Lee Chipps-Walton).
