35 Tesla, 32 mm Bore Magnet (Cell 8)

35 Tesla 32mm bore Cell 8

This is a standard 35 tesla solenoid magnet with a 32-mm bore. This magnet can accommodate furnaces, dewars and other custom experiments.

The DCFF water-cooled (resistive & hybrid) magnets will not be available for user operations mid-November 2026 through April 2027, due to an extended maintenance and infrastructure shutdown.

The shutdown will realize major upgrades to the MagLab's power systems, cooling water, and cryogenic infrastructure to improve long-term reliability, stability, and performance.

While we work on improving our facility to enhance your future user experience, please consider applying for magnet time in one of our superconducting magnets.
