Located in Tallahassee, this magnet is used for magic-angle spinning and double-rotation solid-state NMR.

This instrument is located at the MagLab's Tallahassee headquarters.

  • Bore diameter: 63 mm
  • Homogeneity: sub 1 ppb
  • Console: Bruker Avance III-HD running TOPSPIN 3.2
  • 3 rf-channels, 1 kW amplifier for 1H/19F, 500W and 1kW amplifiers for X-nuclei
  • Dual-stage FTS cooling system (-80°C)
  • Bruker MAS-II sample rotation controller
  • Magnet donated by the University of Minnesota

  • Low-E 3.2 mm MAS 1H–X–Y probe (NHMFL #53)
  • Bruker 1.3mm MAS 1H–13C–15N probe on order
  • Double-rotation (DOR) probe with outer spinning speed up to 1.8 kHz (NICBP, Estonia)
