User Map

This interactive map shows the universities, labs and companies around the world that scientists travel from to conduct experiments at the MagLab. Each pinpoint represents a home institution; click on to view details about that institution's use of MagLab facilities for a given year. The map includes data from 2013 to 2017. Pinpoints of different colors represent different years; 2013 is brown, 2014 is yellow, 2015 is red, 2016 is green, and 2017 is turquoise. Click around to see the growth of our user community over the years, or filter by user facility or type of institution to see a customized map.

User/Facility Network

This network graph represents the relationship between our users' home institutions and the MagLab user facilities. The yellow dots represent MagLab user facilities, while represent the home institutions. Mouse hover over the yellow dots to see the home institutions that use that facility, or start with the blue dots to show which facilities researchers from that institution use to conduct their research. This graph includes user data from 2013 to 2017.

This pie chart reflects the MagLab user community from 2013 – 2017 by institution type. Most of the MagLab’s users are from U.S. universities. Click or mouse hover on the chart to see the number of users for each type of institution.
