Ultrafast Optical Spectroscopy in Pulsed Fields

Generally these studies are performed in our DC Superconducting Magnets (fields up to 17 T), and in temperatures down to 1.5K or 300mK using pumped helium-4 or helium-3.

  • Visible & IR Optical Parametric Oscillator
  • Pulsed whitelight generation via photonic crystal fiber
  • Picosecond pulsed lasers (blue, red wavelengths from Picoquant)
  • Instrumentation for time-correlated single-photon counting
  • Multichannel-plate PMT and avalanche photodiodes for time-resolved PL
  • 300 mm & 500 mm spectrometers (Acton)
