10 Tesla Superconducting Magnet

Located in Williamson Hall Annex, this 10 tesla system features 2.5 cm DSV experimental space. This fast-turnaround facility is used for exploratory measurements, novel technique development, and sample/cell testing prior to use on Bays 2 and 3.



  • Field Strength: 10 or 16 tesla
  • Experimental space: 52 or 63 mm
  • Homogeneity: < 100 ppm in 1 cm DSV
  • Number of input and output leads possible: variable - to discuss
  • Temperature Range: 10mK - 2K
  • Refrigerator: Dilution refrigerator 40 mK
