Pulse-Echo Ultrasound in High B/T

Absolute attenuation and sound velocity can be measured through direct propagation of ultrasound pulses in a wide range of temperature and magnetic field from: 0.1mK to1K and up to 8T magnetic field.

Tone-burst RF pulses are applied to a transmitter transducer and a receiver transducer detects a subsequent signals traveled through the sample. For high attenuating material, we also offer an acoustic impedance measurement capability which is valuable in detecting transition signatures.
