Bruker Elexsys E580 X/Q band cw/pulsed EPR spectrometer

Bruker Elexsys E580 X/Q band cw/pulsed EPR spectrometer

This platform offer comprehensive CW and pulsed capabilities at 9 and 34 GHz, complemented by double frequency capabilities, shaped pulses, and laser excitation.

A newly installed Bruker Elexsys E580 X/Q-band spectrometer is a state-of-the-art commercial platform instrument that provides comprehensive continuous-wave EPR, pulsed EPR, and ENDOR capabilities for a wide range of applications. It operates in both X- (9 GHz) and Q-band (34 GHz) frequencies and it is equipped with a 1.5 T electromagnet.

Equipped with an arbitrary waveform generator (SpinJet II), the instrument supports a full suite of advanced multifrequency EPR and hyperfine spectroscopy methods (DEER/PELDOR, ENDOR, HYSCORE). The system is also coupled with an OPO laser (355 and 400-700 nm nm) for transient EPR experiments down to 4.5 K at both X and Q band.

The Bruker Elexsys E580 is accessible to external and internal users and complements the program’s unique high-frequency and custom-built instrumentation
