The 3He insert system is a top-loading into liquid sorbtion pumped 3He cryostat. The temperature range of the insert is .3 K to 80 K.
The available sample space I.D. is 17 mm. Experiments performed include, but are not limited to, transport, magnetization, surface conductivity and optics with fibers. Rotating and fixed probes are available for use.
The VTI insert system is also a top-loading cryostat with a temperature range of 1.5 to 325 K. The sample is loaded into dynamic vapor/liquid. The available sample space is 17 mm and uses the same probes as the 3He insert.
