Educational Background

Joint Doctoral Program in Physics and Chemistry — Leipzig University, Germany, and Cardiff University, UK (Marie Skłodowska-Curie PARACAT Program).

Research Interests

Advanced EPR spectroscopy, molecular spin qubits, molecular magnetism, spin dynamics and relaxation, magnetic materials, and quantum technologies.

Professional Experience

Kavipriya Thangavel completed her joint doctoral program at Leipzig University, Germany, and Cardiff University, UK, as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) researcher within the PARACAT (Paramagnetic Species in Catalysis Research) Innovative Training Network. Her doctoral research employed advanced EPR spectroscopy to investigate paramagnetic metal centers in metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), their structural properties, and interactions with guest molecules. Prior to her doctoral studies, at IIT Madras, India, she worked on the synthesis and magnetic characterization of rare-earth manganites for magnetocaloric applications.
