Brand and Logo

The National MagLab's logos are available here for download.

Our Identity

Our logo, like our brand itself, is rooted in high magnetic field science: The vector above the letter M is the scientific symbol for magnetism, or what happens to a material inside a magnet. And that’s just what curious scientists come to our lab from around the world to do – put things in our magnets to learn about new materials that could be the cornerstones of technological innovations, keys to energy solutions or paths to understanding biological diseases.

But even without the scientific expertise to know what the symbol means in textbooks, we hope it embodies the excitement that comes from the state-of-the-art research that takes place at the only magnet lab in the United States. The sleek, modern design visually reminds our audiences of all ages that we are pushing the world into a bold, exciting future.

The color palate for our new brand is also inspired by science. Reflecting the electromagnetic spectrum of light, the palate spans the spectrum from ultraviolet to infrared.
