Title: An update on HTS magnet development activity at Tokamak Energy
Host: Magnets & Materials Seminar
Abstract: On the route to developing a source of clean fusion energy, Tokamak Energy (TE) is developing Spherical Tokamak (ST) technology employing high temperature superconducting (HTS) magnets as a key enabling component. TE has embarked on a program of developing HTS magnets based on REBCO coated conductors for ST’s up to fusion reactor scale magnet sets. This presentation will summarize the challenges and the progress of that program to date.
