The 14th North American FT-MS Conference will be held March 30-April 3, 2025 at the Granlibakken Conference Center and Lodge in Tahoe City, CA, located on 74 wooded acres in a picturesque mountain valley and just minutes from Lake Tahoe.

Overview

The FT MS Conference is held every two years and is the premier of its kind in the field of Fourier Transform Mass Spectrometry and its applications. Presentations range from instrumentation and technique development to applications ranging from pharmaceutical metabolism to proteomics, environmental analysis and petroleomics, with special emphasis on new developments. As in the past, partial support for several contributed posters for graduate students and postdocs will be offered.

The 14thNorth American FT MS Conference will be held at the Granlibakken Tahoe Resort in Tahoe City, California. Nestled in a Lake Tahoe mountain valley, surrounded by towering incense cedars and pines, Granlibakken Tahoe is a resort with classic alpine ambiance. The Granlibakken Tahoe Resort is located at 725 Granlibakken Road, Tahoe City, CA 96145.

Shuttle transportation between RNO airport and Granlibakken Tahoe can be arranged with North Lake Tahoe Express. Reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance. Book online or call 833-709-8080.

Directions from Reno-Tahoe International Airport to Granlibakken Tahoe Resort

From the airport, take I-580 North toward I-80. Follow I-80 West for 36.5 miles to exit 185. Take California-89 South for 14.9 miles to Granlibakken Road. Turn right. The Resort will be on the left. Approximate driving time: 1 hour. Estimated distance: 53 miles.

Directions from Sacramento International Airport to the Granlibakken Tahoe Resort

From the airport, take I-5 South toward I-80. Follow I-80 East for 98.7 miles to exit 185. Take California-89 South for 14.9 miles to Granlibakken Road. Turn right. The Resort will be on the left. Approximate driving time: 1 hour. Estimated distance: 53 miles.. Approximate driving time: 2 hours. Estimated distance: 121 miles.

NOTE: If applying for the student awards, please do not register. Instead reach out to the Conference Coordinator.

Registration fee includes: Conference Fee, Mixer on the evening of March 30th, Breakfast on March 31st, April 1st, and April 2nd ; Lunch on March 31st and April 2nd ; Dinner on March 31st; and the Banquet Dinner on April 2, 2025.

*Student rewards requires an advisor letter/email to be submitted to the Conference Coordinator verifying participation and student status. Student slots with presentation are limited and will be on a first come basis.

Students applying for a student award must email the Conference Coordinator to register; and the form must indicate that a student award is being requested. Deadline for student award applications is 02/15/2025. Notification of a student award will be made by no later than 02/22/2025. Student awards are limited. Speakers will receive one complimentary registration fee which includes most meals at the conference. Lodging reservations must be made by calling the hotel or online. Please see Venue/Lodging tab for additional information. Speakers need to complete their own hotel reservations and complete a speaker information form.

Please submit your abstract for your talk by no later than February 15, 2025. Abstracts should be no longer than one page and submitted via e-mail to ftms2025@magnet.fsu.edu on the abstract form. Abstracts should remain in word version and should not be converted to pdf prior to e-mail.

Students applying for a student award do not need to register for the conference. An abstract along with an advisor letter/email verifying participation and student status MUST be submitted to the conference coordinator.

Student awards are limited.

Deadline for student award applications is February 15, 2025.

Notification of student awards will be made by no later than February 22, 2025. Student registration fees have been waived to encourage attendance.

All poster presenters will provide a brief, oral “poster highlight” presentation.
