MagLab Camp TESLA

These hands-on summer camps provides enrichment STEM activities for campers who express a keen interest in science and engineering and want to develop a better understanding of physics and other fields of study in STEM.

The MagLab offers Camp TESLA for boys and girls (rising 6th, 7th, and 8th graders) who want to work on hands-on science and engineering projects, meet role models, and interact with scientists and engineers, all while learning about the MagLab and science across the world.

During their experience, campers will receive:

  • An exposure to a wide range of MagLab science and engineering topics.
  • STEM experiences (labs, lectures, and demonstrations).
  • Opportunities to collaborate with other TESLA campers.
  • Interactions with MagLab scientists, engineers, and science educators.
  • Materials to participate in STEM projects.
  • A unique MagLab Virtual Summer Camps T-shirt.

Camp TESLA Details

MagLab Camp TESLA is a one week co-ed camp for middle schools students who are interested in STEM and want to know more about the MagLab. Camp TESLA allows the campers to explore science and meet other campers who are also STEM enthusiasts. Campers will participate in daily activities with other campers and camp counselors.

2024 Camp Information

Application Deadline: April 8, 2024.

Camp Cost: $200 with scholarships available (Scholarship information in application)

Camp Location: National Magnet Lab, Tallahassee, FL.

Camp Times: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM EST

Camp Dates: July 8-12, 2024

  1. Complete an application for Camp TESLA.
  2. Parent or legal guardian must download and complete a Camp TESLA consent form, then scan and email it to villa@magnet.fsu.edu.
