Postdoc position in physics of graphene

Application Deadline: Open until filled.

The opening is immediate, and we would prefer to have the postion filled within the next few months.

MagLab Scientist Lloyd Engel and Columbia Professor Cory Dean have a mutual project on microwave studies of graphene emphasizing fundamental science at low temperature. Studies of the new zero-magnetic-field states in magic-angle twisted bilayers are planned, as are investigations of a variety of states in single and bilayer graphene in high magnetic field. The job involves substantial time in both NYC and Tallahassee. The plan is to base the PD in Tallahassee with multi-week trips to New York. We will give some preference to candidates who have some cleanroom experience, but this is not essential. Someone with expertise in graphene or 2D material stacked fab material would be ideal.
