Post-Doctoral position in Modeling and Simulations of Particle Separations in Complex Environments

A postdoctoral position is available for highly motivated candidates to join a multi-disciplinary group of chemical engineers, physicists, chemists, and geochemists at the Florida State University (FSU) and the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory (National MagLab). The project will involve modeling and simulations of particulates in complex fluids. The candidate selected is expected to conduct research on the modeling of a range of particulate separation strategies, including but not limited to fluidized bed reactors for, recovery of critical materials from industrial waste. The initial appointment will be for one year, with renewal for up to two additional years conditional upon performance and availability of funding.

Applicants should hold a PhD in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or related fields, and have a strong background in rheology, fluid dynamics, modeling, and simulations with COMSOL or other CFD platforms.
