Responsibilities:

Lead a C&G team of 3, and provide technical assistance to faculty and staff in the preparation, review, and submission of proposals, as well as, administration of awards, grant modifications, subawards, progress reports and budgets for sponsored research and research foundation. Review and approve (Level 1) proposal applications in systems on behalf of MagLab Business Director.

Serves as subject matter expert in institutional grant submission (pre-post award management). Lead liaison between MagLab, SRA and FSU Research Foundation. Coordinates the MagLab Core Sub-awards. Creation of agreements, financial oversight, invoice processing, review, approval and tracking. Tracks and ensures timely submission of project deliverables.

Identify all applicable federal and state statues, regulations, sponsor or university policies and program guidelines.

Responsible for creating and maintaining policies and procedures internal for the MagLab as it relates to RAMP, grant proposals, and awards in all stages. Serve as the primary liaison between the MagLab and Sponsored Research Administration and the Research Foundation.

Assist with the MagLab Core Subawards. This includes creation of agreements, oversight, invoice processing, review, approval, and tracking. Acts as intermediary for the sub-award sites working with PIs and administrative staff as needed.

Conduct training sessions/workshops for incoming researchers and related support staff on sponsored programs and sponsored agency and institutional systems on an as needed basis. Represent the institution as a subject matter expert at regional and national organization meetings or conferences including NCURA.

Independently seek opportunities to increase office knowledge and services provided, including conferences and webinars. Disseminates and/or presents changes and advises on the implementation of changes and on the impact of changes on restricted funded operations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and four years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.)

This position requires successful completion of the eSPEAR Certification or ability to obtain the certification within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in business or related field preferred.

CRA certification preferred.

Member of NCURA, SRAI, or other professional research administration preferred.
