Responsibilities:
Responsible for the operational management and direction of MagLab departmental human resources and employee programs and processes that support the mission and vision of the lab. Leads strategic planning and staffing responsibilities to include career path development, compensation and succession planning and building a capable workforce in coordination with central FSU Office of HR. Provides guidance and direction to senior management involved with administrative services and programs, which may include, Event Coordination, business operations and organizational analysis.
Responsible for developing and maintaining partnership throughout the University to attain departmental goals and objectives. Provides leadership and direction in policy development and implementation. Responsible for formulating and administering the annual MagLab Employee Services operating budget.
Serves as MagLab single point of contact for general personnel issues including, performance issues, disciplinary actions, substance abuse, FMLA and other actions, provides counsel and assistance to directors, departments heads and supervisors to implement appropriate action as needed in consultation with central HR-Employee Relations.
Implement, interpret, and improve applicable MagLab policies and procedures. Coordinate and participate in training activities promoting a positive and collaborative working environment. Manage NHMFL HRIS in partnership and consultation with Central HR and ERP.
Monitor and ensure the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations in alignment with University Policies. Review and modifies departmental policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and six years of experience related to administrative services or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to ten years. (Note: post high-school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)
