Alexandra Dickinson-Lomas is a materials engineer at the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority, the UK’s national fusion energy research organization. She visited the MagLab to test steel for use in fusion, measuring how the material responds to the combination of high temperatures and high magnetic fields generated in a fusion machine.
