Ultra Low-Temperature NMR and NQR in High B/T

Two superheterodyne computer interfaced pulsed NMR spectrometers are available for broadband applications.

The spectrometers can in principle cover 0.5 to 1000 MHz. Specific probes at ultra-low temperatures are developed for each experiment’s specific needs. Two superheterodyne computer interfaced pulsed NMR spectrometers designed by (1) H. Akimoto with D. Candela and (2) N. Sullivan with L. Phelps are available for broadband applications. The spectrometers can in principal cover 0.5 to 1000 MHz. Specific probes at ultra-low temperatures are developed for each experiment’s specific needs.

Instrumentation

  • Gated RF power amplifiers are used for the RF pulse transmission to reduce noise and heating.
